Adventure Church is not your normal church.
We believe God has called us to have a park with a church in it!
That means no typical church building; we currently meet outside under a big tent.
Soon we’ll have a public fishing pond, hiking & biking trails, outdoor event space, and much more...
All for the purpose of providing a space where we can help everyday people find eternal significance!
Vision:
Helping everyday people find eternal significance.
Mission:
Wholeheartedly living and loving like Jesus.
Core Values:
The greatest adventure of all is following God.
Salvation hangs in the balance.
God's not mad at you.
A healthy sense of desperation is our norm.
We're a church where it's okay not to be okay.
We serve and love until they ask why.
We multiply. We don't add.
We make disciples who make disciples.
We were designed for community.
God puts us into daily intersections so that we can represent Him.
We invite you to explore our beliefs and join us in our pursuit of living out our faith with grace and truth.
We believe in one God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Matthew 5:16, 45; 6:1, 4, 8, 9; James 1:17; John 1:1; 14:9; Genesis 1:2; John 4:24; 14:16-20; 2 Peter 1:21). We believe in one God, creator of all things, infinitely perfect and externally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe Jesus Christ is true God and true man. Jesus lived a sinless life, died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins, arose bodily from the grave and ascended to heaven where He is our Advocate.
We believe in God the Father Almighty, Creator of all things visible and invisible (Genesis 1:1; Acts 17:24-28; Hebrews 11:3).
We believe in Jesus Christ, God's one and only Son, my one and only Savior (John 1:14; 1 John 4:9; John 3:16; 2 Peter 3:18):
We believe in the Holy Spirit Who is a personal and active part of the triune God (John 16:5-15; Acts 1:7-8; Romans 8:26-27) and Who indwells every Christian (1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19; 2 Timothy 1:14). We believe the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to convict people of sin, regenerate the believing sinner, indwell, instruct, and empower the believer for Godly living and service.
We believe in the Bible; God's Holy Word as inspired Scripture (Mark 12:36; John 14:26; 16:12-15; Acts 1:16; 1 Corinthians 2:12-13; 2 Timothy 3:14-16; 2 Peter 1:20-21). We accept the Bible as the final authority for all matters of faith and practice (Isaiah 40:8; Matthew 5:18; 24:35; Romans 15:4; Hebrews 4:12).
We believe that people created by God willfully sin against God and are consequently lost and without hope apart from Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12; Romans 3:23).
We believe that salvation - the forgiveness of sins - cannot be earned, but is given to us only through the blood of Jesus Christ and by God's grace (Matthew 26:28; Romans 5:1-11; 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-10; Hebrews 10:19-22; 1 Peter 1:18, 19; 1 John 1:7). We believe in God's saving grace that calls all people to faith, repentance, confession, baptism, and a new life and ministry through the Holy Spirit.
We believe that we must respond to God by admitting our sin and our need for God's grace (Romans 3:23; Titus 3:3-7), believing and confessing the truth about Jesus (Matthew 10:32; Romans 10:9, 10) turning away from sin (repenting - Luke 24:45-47; Acts 3:19; 17:30), trusting Jesus as Savior and Lord (Romans 10:11-13; Philippians 2:11), and being baptized (immersed) into Christ (Acts 2:38; Romans 6:1-4).
We believe in the church of Jesus Christ, founded on the Day of Pentecost, consisting of all Christians everywhere (Matthew 16:13-18; Acts 2:14-47). We affirm the early church's practice of celebrating the Lord's Supper weekly as a proclamation of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ (Acts 2:42; 20:7; I Corinthians 11:24-30)
We affirm the principle of Christian stewardship and practice tithing as an essential habit of a fruitful life and ministry. (Leviticus 27:30; Malachi 3:8-10; Luke 6:38)
We believe in the church's mission: making disciples of all nations, baptizing them and teaching them to obey all of Jesus' commands (Matthew 28:18-20).
We believe that God has ordained marriage, and that marriage is the exclusive covenantal union of one man and one woman in which such union is a lifetime commitment. We believe God's designed for sexual intimacy is to be expressed only with the context of marriage. God instituted marriage between a male and a female as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society. For this reason, we believe that marriage is exclusively the union of a person born as a biological male and a person born as a biological female. (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:5-6, Mark 10:6-9, Romans 1:26-17 and I Corinthians 6:9)
We believe in the bodily resurrection of all humankind: the believer in Christ into everlasting joy, and the unbeliever into everlasting punishment.
Adventure Church was started in 2017 by Robi & Sandy Brust in Bentonville, AR. They planted AC with the help of Nexus Church Planting and Arkansas Church Planting Network along with a few local christian churches in NWA.
In 2020, we had just moved to two services when Covid happened. After online church and social distancing, we agreed to meet outside at a park so we could meet in person again. We liked it so much, it stuck and became part of our identity.
In 2023 Robi stepped away from the Lead Pastor role in order to become Director of ACPN. Tyler Green became the next Lead Pastor of Adventure Church in January of 2024.
We are a non-denominational church. Our heritage comes from a group of independent christian churches that were born out of the Restoration Movement.
